Teddy Geiger Interview

What a talent Teddy Geiger is, This guy is just 17 and is already a massive star in the US. I first saw this guy on an episode of that dodgy TV show on MTV called "Miss Seventeen" where he was to be made over by the contestants before he played a showcase concert, the story goes that one of the chicks snuck into his bag when he was playing and stole his mobile number....What a tart...Who does that?

So after seeing this I did a bit of research on him and discovered that his song was to be released here as well, so here begins my journey of trying to get this kid on the phone, one call to Sony is Brisbane had me worried it would not happen, you see in radio there is a pecking order for international interviews, the order goes - Capital city first, then large town then country town, we lay in the middle in this system. After 2 weeks I finally get an e-mail from Sony saying they have locked in a spot for me, upon hearing this I was happy that it had worked out, then Sony informed me that HOT91 was the only station in Australia that had added his song to their playlists.
The reason for this is that most music directors wont add a song if they aren't already known, but that is not always the case. So the interview time rolls around and I get him on the phone, I was pleased to find that he is a big a fan as me of Ben Fold Five. Apparently he was a massive geek in high school too, and was afraid to talk to girls at all, but he finds now he can't get rid of them....You will be able to listen to the interview when I put it up on the new hot91 website which is only 2 weeks away from launching.
