Something I saw, and reminisced about

So here is something you might be able to help me out with, Last night after arriving home from a long day at work I turned on channel 7 to watch my usual Thursday night ritual of American Dad & The Family Guy which incidently is the funniest show on TV.

I witnessed a scene in which stewie the baby is incased in a bubble due to a sickness, he utters the words "I have had a hell of a day" then the cut away sequence goes into a pinball cartoon with him as the ball while the "123456789101112" songs plays.......And for some bizarre reason I cannot figure out where I have seen this before, I assume it was from sesame street from when I was a kid.

Perhaps it was a counting lesson thing to get kids to learn how to count to 12, but even more weirder is the fact that I have witnessed people sing this on occasion as a joke....
