The power of Myspace for bands & people

The way record companies & bands promote themselves has changed forever due to the influx of users on myspace.com
This website has been around for ages now, and allows people to basically promote themselves or even their bands. The current myspace users total almost 7 million and this is a very powerful resource for bands who are unsigned to promote themselves, their gigs and their music.

Local sunshine coast artist Sarah Reeve (who has appeared on the show) has a myspace page that promotes her unique music to the masses. As with a ton of other great local bands, but this isn't exclusive to unsigned artists, massive bands have noticed the power of myspace and developed their own pages the likes of End Of Fashion & Wolfmother have their own pages to as a supplementary to their normal websites.
